Auszeiten für die Kunst oder von der Kunst (Fragen zur Kunst)*

(Dies ist der letzte Beitrag zu einer lockeren Reihe von Fragen zur Kunst, die nicht auf eine Antwort abzielen sondern als Impuls und Gedankenfutter gedacht sind.)

Immer wieder ist die Präsentation meiner Bilder und die viele Zeit, die ich im Internet verbringe, ein Problem für mich. All das hält und lenkt mich von meiner Kunst ab , führt zu Verzettelung und mangelnder Konzentration. Unser Leben sorgt eh schon genug für Zerstreuung. Ganz aktuell stellen sich mir da folgende Fragen:

1. Wie gehe ich mit Maß mit dem Internet um, wenn ich die Zeit doch eigentlich für meine Malerei nutzen will?

2. Welche Rolle spielen Stille und Zurückgezogenheit für die Kunst ?

3. Kann man das eigene und das kulturelle Leben ziemlich vernachlässigen und trotzdem lebendige Kunst schaffen?

Aber andererseits auch:

1. Sind Ferien von der Kunst nicht auch fruchtbar, ja sogar notwendig für Inspiration und Neues?

Ich werde jetzt allerdings eine Weile lang eine Auszeit vom Internet nehmen, die Zeit damit aufs Nötigste beschränken, und mich mehr meiner Kunst widmen. Ich brauche einfach eine Pause. Auf der Suche nach der richtigen Dosis für mich …

P.S. Vor kurzem habe ich die faszinierende Internetseite Fragen zur Kunst gefunden, die spielerisch unzählige Fragen stellt und auch beantwortet …Da gibt’s also noch Fragen genug….

A break for or from art? Questions about art

(This is the last article for a loose series of questions about art that are meant as an impulse rather than an urge to answer. )

The presentation of my paintings and the length of time I spend on the web are often a problem for me. All this keeps me away from my art, leads to dissipation and lack of concentration. Our lives provide enough distractions. So the following questions are quite important for me just now:
1. How can I spend less time with the web, as  I want to use time above all for painting?
2. Which role do silence and withdrawal play for art?
3. Can one go as far as to neglect one’s own life and the cultural life around and create art full of life  in spite of it?
But on the other hand , too:
1. Isn’t a break from art fertile and even necessary for inspiration and new ideas?
2. And isn’t art a faithful companion everywhere anyhow?
As for me, II need a break from the web for a while, restrict time for it on urgent matters and concentrate more on my art instead…It’s time for a break…
Searching for the right dose for myself…
P.S. Some time ago I found the German website “Fragen zur Kunst ” that asks innumerable questions about art and answers them. ….So there are still enough questions to ask…..
